Does anyone know how to stop my computer mouse from freezing on screen please?

It happens now and again and I get past it by doing system restore BUT it is doing it more often and I really need to stop it.

Any advice from you computer experts would be appreciated.

Cheers

andy

Knit a wee woolly jumper for it, should keep it warm......

Seriously though check the Device Manager tab in Control Panel/System to see if there's a conflict?

Try another mouse if posible as it's the best way to determine whether or not your rodent is the problem.

It could be a conflict with your graphics card's driver. Open the Control Panel, double-click the System icon, choose the Performance tab, and click the Graphics button. Move the slider next to Hardware Acceleration one notch to the left.

Cheers Jacques

The wolly hat didn't work lol.

I've used another mouse and it's working (for now??).

Does this mean the other one should be bined or is there a problem that can be cleared up?

Thanks

Andy

Try your old mouse on another PC, if it works you probably have a driver conflict/corruption. If not bin the rodent.

Just in case the rodent is from the Belkin stables...

Have just changed my Belkin USB mouse at PC World under the year's guarantee,
and notice on the box "Manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty" !shocked!
