I thought there were plans for online guides to commonly asked questions to be made available on the site including one on how to get HC porn from Europe via satellite as it appears to be asked quite regularly.
I, for one, would be very interested to know what is involved including equipment and cost and how to go about doing it.Total novice.

I called sky digital a while ago and asked about getting h/c via mini dish because I was disappointed with TAC and TVX (they aint worth a wank!) And they said its not possible and never will be.
AFAIK u need the old analogue setup.

the new section should be making its debut in the not too distant future. however, we're relying on those brave souls who offered to contribute, coming up with the goods, otherwise we'll have something of a mother hubbard type situation on our hands.
magoo has volunteered to write a definitive guide to all things sat tv and as a man of his word (even when sober) he will, no doubt, deliver the goods when able!

It is my understanding that the best way to obtain h/c channels is to buy a motorised dish(expensive!). Then u have to buy a D2Mac decoder and various keycards to access the channels. Each card contains a number of channels, tailored to suit, although the h/c channels are usually on their own cards. The cards ain't cheap but I think it is only an annual payment. A friend of mine paid for a channel called Eurotica a good few years ago which showed full h/c American flicks and from what I remember they were top notch quality. I think it was banned by the Conservative government's Virginia Bottomley a few years ago though! I'm sure that different channels are available now however.
A place to look for cards and decoders is in the back of TV mags like Satellite monthly that sort of thing, but ain't an expert on the subject.
Hope this was useful
P.S. O/T i know, but u can get live Premiership football on Saturday afternoon on channels like Canal+ and Norwegian TV available through D2Mac!

Rather than do a hasty and ill thought out guide which would just result in more questions I thought it best to give it some thought first so as not to mislead people or confuse them. Been a bit busy lately but have not forgotten. In the meantime perhaps those who are interested should look at the forums at thats where all the sat anoraks hang out.
Perhaps I should have waited until I had some free time before offering to do it. I am now comitted! So I will have to get my skates on or risk sarcy comments for evermore. Dont forget Jason I will be doing out of a desire to help fellow forumites and not be getting any reward other than my name in print so try not to be too impatient. It will be done soon(ish!).

D2 MAC is a thing of the past. Your right to say many pubs had D2 MAc systems for the footy which saved them paying for SKY.
MAC was a great format but its now being replaced by digital.
You cant even give D2 MAC decoders away now! The last porn channel to use D2 MAC was the now defunct Torrid TV. All the later channels went for digital as thats what porn viewers throughout europe and UK have now. The Scandanavian stations are switching to digital. Most have switched already.
