Is this the end of the world the Jehovvah's Witnesses go on about?

Would it be too much to ask the source of this?

Would it be too much to ask the mods to step in before the thread gets out of hand?

On what grounds though?
What has been offensive so far?
It is common knowledge that in certain quarters, many Islamics consider the above "takeover" to be their ultimate aim. If the discussion gets deliberately offensive and/or politically correct, that will be the time for the mods to step in.

"What has been offensive so far?"

None really apart from possibly "baiting", but its a pretty imflamatory post. What if that had been a White Supremacy post? Would it still be OK? Or would that be inflamatory?

"If the discussion gets deliberately offensive and/or politically correct, that will be the time for the mods to step in."

Oh it will, it will!!!

Ah, but that Islamic map thing is a genuine threat - albeit not a huge one, and one based on religion as opposed to colour. "White Supremacy" may have been relevant 40, 50 years ago but is hardly relevant now.
What will always strengthen the extremists (and on both sides) is the PC-brigade's unwilliness to risk offending anyone by skirting the issue with the "thou must not offend" mentality - it is that which is causing the man-on-the-streets to be "silently" angry with whoever he associates with the Islamic threat, and this is, like it or not, strengthening the likes of the BNP. It is that approach, more than anything, that is causing a lot of the festering resentment amongst your "working class" people - if people don't feel (which they don't) that they can stand up and discuss their fears/predudices without being told that they are racist then that result in what may be round the corner, and that is a serious clash of cultures - which wouldn't benefit no-one, except maybe the Islamic extremists and the far-right.

Totally agree with you - just that certain 'forumites' will turn the thread into a bloodbath.

Nothing wrong with reasoned argument.
