Competition wise it now pisses on the mens game
They do tend to make for better viewing
Although I've seen quite enough of serena williams BARGEASS
I can think of at least 6/8 women who have a realistic chance of winning
but the mens is just Roger
The mens game is oh so predictable that its more boring than golf
Sure you'll get your 1 or 2 5 set mens marathon match that measures 8/9 on the richter scale but overall you know who's going to win before the first round starts
cheers

Womens tennis is always enjoyable when Sharapova's on and there also does seem to be more competition than the mens game.
Alot of the problem with the mens game is that Federer is so much better than the rest and like Sampras he's a bit dull with it.
The mens game really does need Nadal to step up and challenge Federer and create a rivalry similar to Borg/McEnroe, Becker/Edberg and Sampras/Agassi. That might spark some interest back into it.

I bet Sharapova is as quite as a church mouse in bed, after all that grunting on court
The mens game is up shit creek without a paddle,Roddick(2) & Hewitt(3) aren't even in the same world as Federer on the tennis court
Characters in sport seem to be missing thesedays
On ething that really irks me is the way every tennis players apes andre agassis after match thankyou to the crowd. For gods sake be original but don't be a clone
.Whats wrong with the Andrew Illie ripping the shirt in half(only after a victory)in front of the crowd?
cheers

Yea the mens game is a bit one sided but the difference with Federer is that his tennis is so much more classy and entertaining rather than Sampras/Becker just serving aces all the time!
But the womans game is fantastic at the moment and with Hingis doing well it looks like its only going to get better.

The woman players also seem to be fitter than they were. There were quite a few double chins a couple of years ago but not so many around now and the girls seem to be able to hang in the rallies a bit more and keep them alive which adds to the entertainment.
I also think with the mens game then there is too much empahsis on the power game. How many 6ft 5" robots are there around who have very limited ability but can smack down a monster of a serve?
Too many I'd say.
As for Hewitt then he's never truly been at the top level of the game for me. He has great ability and tremondous heart and courage but his sheer lack of physical size against these robots has been a hindrance for him. He seems to have lost a bit of that fire now he's with Bec Cartwright but I don't blame him for that.
With Roddick then there's always been something missing. Maybe he has too comfortable a lifestyle as he has always been part of the american in crowd.
Mind you lucky sod gets to bang Sharapova.
