I take Deuce's point about Wigan having money to spend when they came up but it's the fact that they've had a go and played attacking football that's been their biggest asset.

They are not scared to have a go nor are they scared to lose. Credit to them and lets hope they beat the scum in the final.

As for Marino's comments on Arsenal then I agree that Reyes is pants. He has great ability but is way too lightwieght. I can't say I'm a big fan of Spanish players myself and that's a problem as I'm a Liverpool fan. Xabi Alonso (and maybe Sainz Luis Garcia) aside then ours have been shite.

What I couldn't understand with Wenger is that in Fabregas and Flamini they have two gifted but inexperienced players in positions where experience is really needed.

So in the transfer window he went out and bought a central midfielder who is.....................20 years old.

Wigan have only spent a fraction of this ?25 million I heard they had to spend and to be challenging for a place in Europe through the premier league and through to the Carling Cup final is amazing for a club the size of Wigan and their limited support from the terraces.

Man U will qualify for the Champions League so arent Wigan certain to be in Europe because they are in the Carling Cup Final? They deserve to be in my book!!!

It is fantastic what they have done when you see how badly my club Sunderland have done even though Sunderland won the Championship last season and still get crowds of over 30,000 every home game this season.
