That fake rock

A few days ago the Russians announced they'd found a fake rock in a park "filled with electronic gadgetry". Apparently it was some kind of wireless network hub planted by British "intelligence". My first reaction was to think, Come on - they can't really expect us to believe our intelligence services are THAT stupid, can they? But the reaction of our government implies that this really was a British plot.
How f***ing stupid are our intelligence agents? Are they all idiot Eton/Cambridge inbreds with a liking for James Bond films? Having found this rock, all the Russians had to do was watch it and see who produced a PDA nearby. They might as well be waving a sign saying "look at me, I'm a foreign spy!"
The old methods like using code words on the phone are about 1,000 times more secure than this moronic idea. And haven't they heard of the Internet, complete with 128-bit encryption? We're supposed to rely on these tossers to help decide when we should go to war... we'd be safer without them.
