Conspiracy theory..........

The caretaker management team now in charge (Including Sheaer) are only ablle to be in charge for max 12 weeks as the do not hold the FIFA pro licence required by managers. The season ends in exactly 12 weeks.

Concidence that they should sack him at this moment so that Shearer gets a shot at management for the rest of the season? After all, if he does a good job, he can stay on, a bad job, and well, he was only helping out.......

It seems sillly that a manager who was obvioulsy going to go for the last 3 months should be got rid of after the transfer window closes, giving the new bloke no chance to bring in new players, etc.

Probably all bollocks

I saw him interviewed on Sky Sports last night and he looked like he didn't give 2 fucks what the Newcastle board did. His buys have been shocking, we laughed our arses off when he brought Babayaro.
VERY limited manager again proving that great players do not make great managers. I liked his style kicking 'flash cunt' players arses who gave less than 100% wearing their club shirt.
The Toon Army will stay up whoever takes charge, but you can bet Sir Bobby cried in his Newcastle Brown today..........they should NEVER have sacked him

Hi Carcactacus, earlier today my Glaswgien colleagues were discussing this, feeling is if the Sun have a poll for people's favourite for the Managers jpb all the Scottish boys were going for either John Barnes or Souness.

I'll say one thing for Freddy Shephard he listens to his supporters , last season 5 games in was it ? they'd all got plackards "Robson out" i saw a game 2 or 3 weeks ago "get Robson back" baffles me . I got the impression 3 or 4 weeks ago after having seen him interviewed post match on sky sports news , he was expecting something like this he'd almost excepted it , he was asked about his job stability and he gave a wry grin as he answered . I can't see Roeder doing much . JJ .

Nice to know we Scots are all thinking alike. If Souness doesn't get the job, maybe they'll go for another foreign coach---Berti Vogts????????

Going by his body language in the dug-out last night I kind of think that Souness knew he had ordered up his last drink in the last chance saloon just as the shutters were coming down, still not to worry probably another couple of million in his pocket for the trouble ... should anybody really feel sorry for these managers anyway - I mean usually they are multi-millionaires through playing the game anyways so a few years tending the lawn won't make much difference when the bus pass arrives in the post.
