Bt have today apparantly reported an increase in those trying to access "child porn" in this country.
Sounds suspiciously like bullshit to me - those that are into that kind of thing will know better than to attempt random access, and in 6 years of spam and pop-ups I have never stumbled upon any.
Call me a cynic, but it couldn't be an attempt to garner support from the idiot masses and pass some Orwellian legislation regarding internet access? Surely not!

Probably. But don't stand for it. The government are our employees - if they try to fuck us up or make life difficult we can sack them. We don't have to be victims and have stuff done to us.

Trouble is though, Officer, that the precident has been set and the most we can hope for is a change of regime... and all that would mean is "meet the new boss, same as the old boss"

So when is the next general election then?
Or are you proposing something more radical?

If you create fear you can have control and that is the very essence of cencorship in any form.

....which is why they are going to continue hyping this balony and feeding the frenzied morons who think Gary Glitter is "Public Enemy no.1". It is an issue that is being used and abused as a smokescreen for keeping the masses off the scent of the real issues, and (mark my words) it will be used as a battering ram against porn in general.

As controversial as this comment may sound: You think in the privacy of peoples own homes that people look for things they are into? or do they just read about it and want to know how easily it can be found?
A bunch of teenagers taking time out from playing games could be looking for things they shouldnt be out of curiousity...And if you are wondering. No I dont....Never been curious too either...But I seriously doubt everyone looking for that kind of stuff fits the stereotype. Thats the internet for ya...The last frontier of freedom as we know it. Who said people are going to use that responsibly?
