Aaah, the Big Brother concept........ when 'real people' feature on telly they get sucked into the delusional vacuum of celebrity. This in turn creates more celebrity for you to hate and thus forms a self-perpetuating cycle whereby the ultimate celebrity tosspot, the Z-lister, who has no discernable talent/ thinks they are something yet in reality ARE nothing, proliferates, breeds and contaminates popular culture. Like algae stagnating a pond and denying oxygen to the ecosystem below, real people making the transition to celebrity blunt the wits of a nation and send out the wrong images of what to aspire to.

But what came first - the media saturation or the public obsession? I don't suppose that matters as it's almost become a social thing rather than merely cultural now. Celeb/non-celeb, a new class system.
