I'm off to Berlin in a couple of weeks and wanted to know if anybody knows where the red light areas, bo0okstores etc are in Berlin?

In the top row (Was/Wen Suchen Sie?) put Sexshops

In the bottom row (Wo Suchen Sie?) put D-10115 Berlin

Click Suchen.

It should bring up the addresses of around 90 sexshops in a 50 km radius around Berlin.

If you click on the little flag that says Lageplan/Anreise beneath the shop name, it brings up a map of where it is.

Big Sexyland in Martin Luther Str has video cabins, sex-shop and an peep-show offering (ahem) additional hands-on interaction. The Erotic Museum is above the Beate Uhse shop next to Zoo station. Several other Beate Uhse shops offering the usual fare. There's no red-light areas like the Reeperbahn in Hamburg but it's not difficult to track down. Take a wander along Oranienburger Str in Mitte of an evening (tourist area full of cafes in E. Berlin) and you'll see what I mean.

As an interesting change from the above there's a second-hand porno shop "Manolito" at Beusselstr. 44 (next to S-Bahn Beusselstr) which does a roaring trade in mags, DVDs etc. There are often hard-to-get older editions of Private, Pirate etc for those nostalgic for the pioneer age of porn when not everybody and his wife was in the biz and women mostly had hair between their legs. Happy days!
