Mary-Ann Leneghan --any news?

Does anyone know what is happening about this murder case?

It is where two girls were abducted and eventually taken to a park in Reading where Mary-Ann was killed and her friend was shot but thankfully survived.

I thought that having a witness would make it an open and shut case. I have been away and must have missed the verdict

thanks

The jury is in their third day of deliberations. One man admitted the murder during the trial.

Thanks for the update, didn't know that it had gone out to the jury. I don't get a newspaper, relying on Sky/BBC etc. but not mentioned there. Perhaps they will report the outcome.

Poor girls....what a terrible night for them.

seeing as how the attackers were all black and the victims were white i wonder if we are going to see a media frenzy like we did when stephen lawrence and anthony walker died?or is this the sort of thing the authorities dont want people to talk about?what happened to these poor girls shouldnt be relegated to a small column on page 16 of a newspaper.may Mary-Ann rest in peace.can you imagine what it must have been like for her parents to have to sit through that trial hearing a blow by blow account of what their little girl went through?and then one of those bastards had the audacity to offer them his "heartfelt apologies".

I think the guys that did this were dispicable beyond belief!!!

BUT and this is not trying to make excuses for anyone

This was in no way a race crime like the Stephen Lawrence case nor at any time has it been reported that it was!!

To me it looks like 2 girls got in with the wrong crowd things went very sour and the result is just appalling.

May they rest in peace and the bastards never see the light of day

Race crime No way more like a group of morons who have no idea what life is about.....but they will now have a life of bending over and saying ahhhhhhhhh!

of course it wasnt reported that it was a race crime.the government only want to portray race crimes as wicked white people picking on innocent blacks.how do you think this would be reported if it was whites doing it to black girls?you would never hear the end of it.this case has hardly been in the news.whatever the motivation these scum deserve to be tortured to death

I've had personal experience of an Asian on white race murder and you are quite right about race crime being a one-way street. The murder wasn't treated as a racial crime in court, in case it was disbelieved as a motive by the jury and convictions were less likely. It clearly was a race murder and the police and judge said as much at sentencing.

In this case though the motive was revenge, not race.
