cold calls on mobiles

Had one of those annoying 'contract upgrade offer' phone calls last night, but soon got got the caller pi***d off by letting him carry on with his script before correcting a few errors near the end of the call. Was offered free ringtones & wallpapers but told him I can do it all via my PC, offered an LG 3G handset but I'm a Nokia man through and through and the killer sentences that killed the spiel were that I've been PAYG for 15 months and I was only sounding interested in the call to waste his time at which he hung up. I also mentioned the
TPS which works in a similar way to the MPS which prevents junk mail etc

I don't have a mobile Vee, BUT I did answer the phone at work last week, and had *won* a Nokia N70 from BT that was to be here in 3 days (still waiting) I told the lads who advised me to get it unlocked and get my own SIM card in it.
Its probably a scam as I never gave the info over the phone they wanted such as my home telephone number, my wifes mobile number etc.
IF I get it, I'll let you know, but an N70 to me means fuck all, Im not at all clued up on mobile phones

I've never had them on my mobile but used to get them all the time on my landline until I barred anonymous calls.

If its your own operator their number is never withheld.
Like when o2 call me its like 02022 the number and on voda it comes up as "Operator" or "Vodafon" not sure on other networks as never had them
