Hi mate..we're booking to go there in April.
Had loads of recommendations so I advise you to look up this site..
Look at the Puerto Plata hotels on the left of the page..basically..book one of those..all inclusive and as the other 2 hotels are it's sisters...you get to use all the facilities in those as well...you're gonna get 3 hotels for the price of one!
You can get a deal for mid april from ?649 all inc.
Apparently..not much nightlife outside the hotels tho..if any!..advised to stay in the hotel complexes where you have everything to hand anyway...restaurants, bars, discos etc
