is it me, or do the adverts for this sequel try very hard to make this film look the biggest pile of shit ever?

As cheesey as you might say the first one was, it is / was watchable and at least had a semi decent cast - this one looks utter pony!

The weird thing is, was reading in the evening standard tonight, that the director has also got a film opening called shooting dogs, about the rwandan genocide! How far apart can you be with sharon stone flopping her beaver out / brutal genocide in west africa! WTF?

I've only seen a very short trailer on TV. Is it a coincidence that it imitates the famous Christine Keeler/chair photograph (and John Profumo's recent death).

I went to a special screening of "Shooting Dogs" which Michael Caton-Jones and John Hurt did a post film Q & A.

Michael Caton-Jones answered this question by saying that he was only getting bad scripts in America due to his American agent only forwarding on the scripts with big budgets - usually the crap holiday ones.

He finally had enough and got a British agent who sent him the script for "Shooting Dogs" which he's also directed.

I suppose it's a case of doing something commercial which will pay the bills and allow you to take time off to do something worthwhile.

I must say the amount of drivel thats made these days really pisses me off, it surely cant generate that much cash, so how the fuck does it end up being inflicted on us.

Of course we all have our opinions - no doubt some righteous dude in here will now launch an all out verbal assault!

And quite rightly so!
8mm and Vanilla Sky are both pants while Old Boy is ace!

ha ha ha ahh jock strap... i thought you would be on my case... admittedly vanilla sky is not everyones cup of tea, and yes, i am a big fanny.
