There are some excellent tech bods here that can help you, unfortunantly I am not one !tumbleweed! but it might help if you can confirm that you have run virus checks and perhaps in this case spyware checks. I use SpyBot and Ad-Aware from lavasoft. Both free Spyware checkers and removers, I downloaded them from download.com. If you do get these don't forget to update the definitions to ensure they look for the most recent threats, before running them for the first time.
There are also a couple of them that run all the time protecting you, not just when you scan. The first is from Microsoft called Defender, this needs Windows XP, and the second that doesn't is Spyblaster.
Also may be useful to know is it a folder you have set up or know? ie associated with an aplication you have, or is it a folder the computer (or spyware!) has created?
I haven't helped but this info may help the clever one's help you....

Not heard of that before.
Have you done the usual Spyware/Adware/Virus scans?

Certainly have...nothing.Very odd isn't it.
When the files are full,I can then open up when it says clear some space,bingo...although,I can remove to bin & delete at least, which free's space.
Seems to be an internal problem, not from outside, because it picks up photos from say,the BBC news site, gathers them up and stores them.Anything in it's path, like a lawn mower.

Someone just suggested to me that you might have imaging harvesting software somewhere on your pc.
Might be worth having a look at what you have installed. Failing that I'm stumped.

Intriguing!
Do the folders have names? Where are the folders?

You dont mean the internet explorer cache do you? The cache would contain almost all the images you had seen on the internet for x amount of days (x being the space dedicated to the cache, and how often you browse) If it is, then this is perfectly normal.

This could be the problem,Twingo,as someone else pointed out to me.Never mind, thanks chaps for all the help...it's a bit of a pain, but not the end of the World and at least I can delete them to make way for other items.
I just wondered how they got there taking up files.

TheProf if you goto Tools -> Internet Options you will see Temp Internet Files box, with Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Settings.
If you choose Delete Files, tick the box that says offline content, then click ok it will clear them all for you.
Now goto Settings, and set it to about 128mb that way it will use FIFO (First In First Out) to decide what it keeps and never take more than 128mb
