I give him six months max before he's out, whether it be ousted by the party or taken away by the rozzers and locked up over the dodgy dealings with loans.
Before he goes, there will be a huge blood-letting---or Cabinet reshuffle--- aimed at saving his skin, at which the Jowells, Hewitts and Clarkes will be sacrificed, and leaving him with little or no support in his own government.

"him six months max". Dam as long as that........
Trouble is were going to end up with unelected Brown running the country, and we all know how much that will cost us, Africa and all that.....

The problem with it, is that every shade in the political spectrum has been exposed as corrupt, self-serving, megalomanical, selfish and gutless...except for the Greens who I'd love to see in a shared government but it'll never happen. How anyone can pin their colours to Labour or the Tories is beyond me. Voting Lib Dem remains a pretty pointless protest vote to me. Politics has never looked more seedy.

Very good point, Chatterji. If professional lawyer (and trained lawyer) Blair is chased from office, who do you replace him with? Dave PR Guy (aka professional liar) Cameron?

Does anyone have anything they want me to say to that Blairite careerist arshehole Alan Johnson next week? He's bound to show his smug, oily face for the local elections.
I personally would like to jump on his head repeatedly.

Unfortunately, the type of personality most likely to be drawn to politics is also very likely to be unscrupulous and corruptible - much as a boxer or soldier is likely to be a violent person.
It is the way of things.
