Tottenham team sabotaged?

The biggest conspiracy since the moon landings? My mate Mart, a Spurs fanatic is screaming fix after most of the Spurs team came down with food poisoning!
It seems a bit odd?
My personal theory is Prawn Curry before a big game is not a wise move.
Wonder if the chef was French? C'est la vie, c'est lo-phane.

What seems more odd is 2 penalty misses by Teddy Sheringham ex Spurs and Gooner hater. I would bet my house that he missed those on purpose.
Spurs - Champions League your having a Laugh!!!

Right. Lifelong Spurs' fan here.
Isn't it odd that the only diners affected at the hotel were Spurs' players? The dodgy dish was apparently lasagne.
Isn't it odd that this occurred the night before a game which would decide which of two teams qualified for the CL with a windfall worth around ?10 million?
Isn't it odd that Arsenal are known to have overstretched themselves with their new stadium, and CL qualification was thought to be a given?
Isn't it odd that West Ham agreed to postpone the game to an alternative date but the FA said that if this happened Tottenham would forfeit the game?
I was at Upton Park. Most of our first team were affected, visibly. They were pale, and sweaty even before kick off. Throughout the game their energy levels were low. I do believe they were knobbled because of the coincidence of the timing and the small, targeted number of people who were affected.
What pisses me off most is that can you imagine if this happened to Arsenal the night before they play Barca next week? No way would they be expected to play. The local Law also refused to allow the game to be played later to give the Spurs' lads, who'd been up all night puking, a chance to sleep and hydrate themselves. They said that an extra three hours' drinking time for the fans would cause mayhem. Total bollocks.
At the end of the day, Henry was his usual magnificent self
and pulled off a great win for Arse. My issue is simply that we didn't get a chance to play our game fairly and that the inflexibility of the authorities made a bad situation worse. It stinks as much as the FA failing to approach Wenger to be England's manager. (Of course that's nothing to do with that dollop Dein being permitted to have a foot in both camps.)
Still, a season to be proud of. We have a great team, a great manager and a dazzling future. Cheers Martin.

Unless there's any proof that Arsenal or anyone acting on there behalf was resposible for the deliberate poisoning of Spurs, ts just going to be a conspiracy theory to cover the bad luck. These things happen, its just this outbreak of food poioning (or the shits as it probably turned out to be) happened at at time that gave ammunition to the 'everyones against us' gang.
Perhaps they should investigate the mysterious late goal conceded against Portsmouth, (and two other games where 2 points were dropped in the last few minutes) to see if someone iside the club ws working agaist them.
You qualify for Europe over a season, not one game, and it turns out Arsenal were the better team over the whole season.
BTW, I'm disinterested in all of this, but I do feel your pain, its a hell of a shitty (forgive the pun) way to miss out.

Some comments and jokes surfacing the media -
- Tottenham Hotspur is only 3 miles away from West Ham. Why was booking a top hotel the night before nessecary?"
- What goes around comes around. Apparantly the chef at Arsenal's Paris hotel in two weeks time will be a Barcelona fan.
- Tottenham rang the FA to ask if they could postpone the match and David Dein (Arsenal's chairman) picked up the phone.
Question: What do Spurs do when they have a chance to make history?
Answer: They shit themselves.

The reason why Spurs failed was because they generally failed to capatilise when Arsenal slipped up.
Personally I can't see what the fuss is about Spurs not qualifying for the Champions League. They probably wouldn't have got past the qualifiers to get into the group stages in the first place (remember Everton last year?) and they would have therefore dropped into the UEFA Cup, which is exactly where they are anyway.
