I am, find it brightens up my day....

Anyhow this is an interesting site

Sometimes you think it's not working but it's just a quiet day. At present there is a load of returns off in the North sea.

Yes I know what you mean, that was my initial thought when I first looked at it. You need to see it on a busy day. Last week it was really interesting watching a big storm move West down the M4 corridor.
Today is a boring day unfortunantly.....

On top right it says in the last hour, 8 strikes in Total (I have seen this in the hundreds). Further down the right it gives the days total 118 on this day so far.

The location of any strikes are shown as small dots, yellow ones are new strikes that happened 7 minutes ago, brown ones are 45min to an hour old.

Clicking at the top on zoom gives you a map of just the UK. Pressing Event Loop runs and you see small triangles showing where the strikes are over the last hour.

The data is reloaded every 60 seconds, and as I said today is a bad day with it showing now, 0 strikes in the last 30 minutes.

This other site is more basic, just showing red blobs in the area where the storm is, bigger the blob the stronger the storm. .-

Give it another go on a stormy old day, much more interesting.

It's grey hot and very humid in Sussex, can't see or hear anything yet. I love a good storm......
