Anyone of a certain age will know that their heyday was in the 70's /80's.
But they're still being made today-motorcycle safety, postal scams etc-and they've just updated one of the old ones featuring Joe and Petunia.

For more of the old ones, check out the invaluable

....and be prepared to spend quite a long time there as you sample all the other delights as well.

How effective they actually were/are at preventing the preventable is anyone's guess.
I mean, how many rugs were put on polished floors after Patrick Troughton told you it'd be like setting a mantrap ?!
But damn fine entertainment though.!grin!

The heyday of the public info films were the 1940's (during World War 2),and in the post war years,in the British cinema.Came on/or after the ice-cream girl...

The classic was in slide form "Mrs.Jones go to the front office, your home has just been bombed"...or "Tommy Green,go home, your Mother has tea on the table"
