How great to see a small African country do so well in their first finals. And nice that they got through by beating the USA (not that Americans will have noticed, not being a big footballing nation).

I can't see them beating Brazil, but I'll be cheering them on all the way.

Congrats also go to Australia.

I second that....just need Switzerland & South Korea to qualify ahead of France tonight!

Yeah the US does have a team and they've been in the world cup quite a few times. I'm not a soccer fan but overall the oldschool people here (including me) are not into soccer but the news here reported that the young are more into it. I've seen some highschool soccer games on TV last year (girls teams) and they're actualy great games. And of course the Mexicans here have always played soccer here. As a matter of fact we have a league here in season and Chicago lost a few games since the season started. They now have their own stadium to play in instead of using Soldier Field. I thought the US would win and I expected the Czechs to win but I'm proud of Ghana (has nothing to do with me being of African decent) and the US thought they got a bum rap. Oh well!
