I've had cable for about 4 years. There are better packages these days but I very rarely get my bandwidth strangled. Try Telewest if you're in an area with cable.

Maybe you have a virus or adware slowing down your Broadband. Type Ad-Aware into your browser and download free software for a scan.!cool!

Most ad-ware only come's to life while you're online trying to send information to the company that probably gave it you in the first place. Windows Defender is a better programme if you have XP, or ad-aware, if you have Win 98 or 2000.

It's totally free from microsoft and pretty good.

Ps, my mate's just installed tiscali broadband 2mb and he's satisfied with it's performance.

Get Firefox! I've not used IE for over 18 months and been totally free of ad-ware in that time.
