Fifa ban Greece....

Sorry for another football thread but I came across this on the Sky Sports website

It seems Greece have been banned from further participation in Fifa or Uefa game's as they breech certain rule's Fifa set out. Now Greece isn't really that important to Fifa, or Uefa even though they're the Europen Champions at the moment.

I wonder if Uefa will chuck out the Italian club teams involved in match fixing, so ther'll be no AC Milan, or Juventus in the Champions League next year? (assuming the clubs are convicted which I'm sceptical of).

.......and will all of Italy's stars want to play a full year in Serie B next year along with mising out on 2 years worth of Champions League football?

I see a few Italian stars playing in the Premiership next season.......!cool!

If the Italian clubs are found guilty of match-fixing, it's likely to result in them being relegated to Serie B.

I don't trust Fifa, or UEFA. Bladder and friends teat the game as their own fiefdom, with money-making more important than the spirit of the game.

Yeah they'll probably be relegated but what about the teams who've qualified for the Champions League? Surely they should be banned from the competition and other Italian teams take their places?

Myabe Pessotto's suicide attempt give's us all the private conformation that the stories are true--->

Ok the match fixing doesn't include WC matches, but letting them lift the trophy sends out messages to kids that corruption isn't all that bad! Not when you can still win the ultimate trophy on the planet!

Juve & Ac Milan are 2 of the biggest, most famous clubs ever. It's a real shame to be honest......

A shame, yes, but examples have to be set.

It's mostly officials that are facing charges. The situation with regard the players hasn't been touched upon.

Not yet, but it will come if officials are found guilty. I still have a suspicion that not much will come of all this, even though everything seems true. Italy's a 'favoured' nation, and important to Fifa. Now Italy's through to the final it looks like we're gonna have some proper 'idols' for our kids to look up to! (not).

I'm gunning for France now....

Italy have been in this situation before Sam with Paolo Rossi.

A betting cheat but 'fine' example of Italian football idols.

They didn't learn then and probably won't from this.
