Hi Ken,

Let me tell you that your plan to make bicycles have number plates will make you a laughing stock. There will be mass disobedience and the police won't be bothered to enforce your authoritarian law.

Once I admired your "socialist" rhetoric but you are big brother epitomised. Go ahead with your stupid plan and find out that we cyclists can be very bolshie! Meet some real revolutionaries not an armchair one like you turned out to be.

Don't worry Mike, it won't happen. It's one of the most stupidest idea's in the world. They would have to classify the difference between an adults bicycle and a kiddies tricycle, along with every kinda bike in between!

So dumb......

He wouldn't have to come out with that crap if cyclists remembered that the Highway Code applies to them as well as to motor vehicle drivers.

Red lights are not optional; pavements are not special bike lanes.

Sits back patiently waiting for BGAFD member Ken Livingston's post defending himself ... and especially looking forward to the PS, where Red Ken will ask if Jo Guest has ever done anal. ;-)

Ken wants number plates on bikes so the cameras can record cyclist who dont abide by the highway code, this should keep the postman busy delivering summonses throuout London, it wouldnt be long before it spread to the rest of the UK just another case of Big Brother is watching you, i doubt if it will ever get off the ground so think of another silly idea Ken i expect you have plenty up your sleeve!love!

I'm a Cyclist as well, & to a certain degree, I would say yes, some cyclists are like that, but NOT ALL of us are.

I use lights, ONLY mount the pathway when I'm parking my bike.

The worst thing I hate, as a Cyclist, is certain motorists who try to "cut you up" on the road, they think that cyclists have NO RIGHT to be on the road, so consiquently treat you like you dont exist.

2 weeks ago I'm travelling down the dual carriageway, coming back from the Dentist 3 miles away from here. I take the left-hand feed-off just before the traffic lights, to take the turn left at the major intersection. I've already left the main lane of traffic & started down the feed-off into left turn, & a Truck comes past & almost knocks me off my bike, he was in too much of a rush to give me a few seconds to get closer to the junction first, so he could overtake at a wide point in the road. !swear!

I've even had (car) motorists try to shoot past me on a single lane road going uphill, at the bottom of the hill to my estate, fucking bastards think that because their vehicle is powerful, they can do what they want. !swear!

I've reported some of these pricks to the police, even 1 of these assholes almost crashed into our garden last week (we live on a blind bend), she shot up the side road directly opposite our garden so fast, they had to swerve hard or they would have crashed into 3 vehicles parked by our house.

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Motorists in general, I even had my own Provisional License, which I will go for a Full, as soon as I can afford it, its just those pricks who think that they own the fucking road. !swear!

There are no dedicated bike lanes in London.
