Postal Changes

I can certainly see the logic in charging for both weight and size, because it's easy for us end-users to forget about the logistics involved in getting the stuff to us (and the cost)
And anyone who sees postie weighed down with more and more net -purchased goodies can certainly sympathsize -particularly if he/she 's on a bike like mine is.

But I just wonder about how much of a pain it's going to be for customer and counter staff as it seems unnecessarily complicated !hmmm!

Maybe rather than a leaflet,we should all get a lightweight size guage !

And perhaps it wouldn't be so bad if they simply had 2 categories -"letters" and "parcels"

Anyhow,see what you think......

Hopefully in a year's time no-one will think twice about it.!happy!

Let's hope it all works out ok and doesn't lead to any of this: and that we get an insight into how our posties do it here:

So its going to cost a bit more to post those dvds unless you send only the disk, just a bit more to help the demise of dvds!sad!

Looks like the P.O wants to make more money off Ebayers and make it difficult to work out the cost of postage when putting items on auction. With the millions of items sold on Ebay, wonder how much the P.O have made from them already.

Yes,but for every one item that might go missing there's probably ten that were never sent in the 1st place.

I've done coming up for 300 eBay transactions and only had 2 problems and both were found 2b the sellers fault.
And,eBay or not,I've got far more faith in Royal Mail than in a lot of people doing the sending frankly !

My mum used to say the only people you can trust are postie and the milkman and she's not been proved wrong yet as far as I'm concerned !drink! But mum's are always right. We should all know that.!thumbsup!

The Postal market is now fully deregulated.

If you don't like those stupid feckers at Royal Mail why not use one of the other big carriers.

They all provide just as good a service - and the prices are a lot less than RM (NOT).
