Syd and Arthur within a month of each other, what a horrible coincidence.
"Forever Changes" will live on, I absolutely love it. It is one of that is so hard to describe - awash with both cynicism and yet truly beautiful, truly timeless.
"Da Capo" isn't bad either, but totally different to "Forever Changes" which is genuinely timeless.

Forever Changes is an album that takes time to get under your skin, but once it does . . . . A quite amazing work---certainly better than Sergeant Pepper which came out the same year.

Interestingly enough, tho I am American & certainly old enough, I've never heard of this guy or the album.Still, a loss is a loss."Ask not for whom the bell tolls", & all that.

A lot of those West Coast acts/groups in the late 60's & the 70's weren't well known east of the Mississippi.Even The Grateful Dead toured the South very rarely if at all.I can't think of anyone who owned one of their albums back in the day.
I do remember "The Fish Cheer" from my college days of course...

Sad news indeed.
I saw him play many a time and really thought his new band with
Baby Lemonade (named after a Syd song)
were the best and most consistent he played with,
he even chatted up my girlfriend in front of me one night.......
what a dude.

No commercial success to speak of but well thought of Manchester band. Check out 'The Storm'. Respect to Arthur & Tony.
