With Paypal, your money received does NOT automatically go into a bank account, you manually have to transfer it, there is a minimum amount limit, i think it's about ?6.00 - ?9.00 and it takes a copuple of days.

Problem is with British banks who take 5-7 days compared to 3-4 days for U.S banks for you to get your money.
If you withdraw less than ?50 from your Paypal account they will charge you for the transaction which is par for the course for Ebay/Paypal who screw the arse off sellers. The buyer doesn't pay a penny to use Paypal it is all on the seller wheras Nochex charges the buyer to use the service although there are restrictions on how much can be spent.

There are loads of phishers out there ...any one purporting to be a bank etc and asking you to log in is a fake.In any speak with your bank. They will never ask for a password unless you phone them first.

If the amount you want to transfer is large do telephone or on line banking. No fees.Paypal are expensive but then ebay too I think.
