Poundland is surprisingly good isnt it... You'd think it would all be crap non-brand names

I'm a Waitrose man myself, Liz. I was down there just the other day. You can't beat their quality grub - much better than those awful chav supermarkets, Asda 'n' Tesco. I expect you spend an inordinate amount of time loitering round the old tea counter, checking out their exotic blends and single estate specials?
Another two purveyors of quality nosh I can recommend are Mark 'n' Sparks and Sainsbury?s (love their 'Jamie Oliver' steaks).

I had the pleasure of 'discovering' NETTO last month. I had always avoided it as I had visions of the stuff being shite and the brand names were 'non-existant'
WRONG!!!!! Get yer arses down there, I saved a good few quid on products that cost quite a few quid more at ASDA and Sainsburys.
And beer? BEST deals I have EVER seen at Netto.
Mind you, I still buy my fresh produce from 'name' supermarkets, unless I have grown it myself, and I would avoid 'fresh' seafood etc from Netto's, but for arse wipe, bleach etc etc...and not forgetting booze, you can't beat Netto

Totally agree. Best supermarket around, yes prices are higher but the food is so much better.
I enjoy there Chicken tikka masala from the deli and egg fried rice is awesome.
Also they do some great ham/cheeses- cambazola and strathdoen blue in particular, and other little bits on the deli counter.
They meat counter and fish counter is top notch as well, and the veg and fruit is nice.
Also they have an excellent cake counter highlights being Rocky Road Pie, Espresso brownies, New York Cheese cake and Mince Pies.
I could go on but you get my point.
Top supermarket.

Your well observent officer if you will excuse my chav type metaphor!, I actuall spend MORE time chatting up the well tasty staff, not a tattoo in sight, and less ironwork than a lego brick, why! I even had an Intelligent conversation with the cleaner at my Local W.
Waitrose have fantastic clean stores, great food and are a chave free zone, so why go anywhere else, Sainsbury, and MS come a distant second in this Reptile retreat.........
Asda price.......my arse!
Tesco..............thinking mans poundstretcher.
