Lamarr v Wossy

How nice saturdays Radio 2 has been for the last few weeks with Mark Lamarr hosting Wossy's show. Even with that oily fuck Dale Winsome as co host the shows were great but it all ends with the ?18 million wonder boy back from his travels this saturday with I believe his special guest Ricky(still winning awards for the Office) Gervaise. Will not be listening as I cannot stomach anymore of the pair of them sticking their tongues up each others arse which we have witnessed god knows how many times already on his radio & tv show.
Will try out Radio 3 & 4 and see what they have to offer and hope the BBC finally discover that Wossy has been repeating his one joke for too bloody long and put him out to pasture.

I totaly agree with you. I didn't realise quite how annoying 'Wossy' (sounds like a crap 70's dj) was getting.

I remember when Jonathan Ross started with his chat show on Channel 4 in the mid 80's I think.

I thought he was quite good and it had a bit of originality to it. Then one of the other channels (can't remember which) started showing the David Letterman Show and I realised that what Jonathan Ross had done was to go over to the US and rip-off the Letterman format lock stock and barrel. He then brought it over to the UK and put had his name on it. No originality at all.

I find his Radio 2 show really, really irritating. He's getting really lazy now and has to have a "mate" in the studio all the time who he bounces "jokes" off which the audience as the third party are supposed to find funny. Very much like Chris Evans did before he had his extended holiday.

Chris Evans and Noel Edmonds realised that their lack of talent was about to be found out and had to disappear for a while. Pity was that they both came back ? and that the BBC had them back. Noel is back on BBC TV next month.

I?m hoping Ross will take Chris Evans and Noel Edmonds' example and disappear - without the coming back bit of course.

Evans nabbed the idea of Steve Wright, didn't he? His 'posse' still the high watermark for fawning sycophancy. Mind you, Evans' teatime show is losing listeners, btw, and he's completely shown up by stand-in Stuart Maconie, who can be annoying (but nowhere as much) and at least actually likes music.

News of Edmonds' return had me groaning too. One thing I didn't know is that Deal or No Deal had been a proven hit show in many other countries before its CH4 debut, so not quite the original sensation it's made out to be.

Wright/Ross/Evans/Edmonds - now you know what the C in BBC stands for.
