Did Government Minister lie publicly on radio?

Yes he did - blatantly, section starts at 5:16 min into program, Vernon Coaker at 9:02



He categorically states that the majority of responants to the Violent Porn Consultation were for government action. The actual figures are 72% against and only 28% for.

"...we consulted on it and most people that responded to the Consultation and organizations that responded to the Consultation found it unacceptable found it that(sic)it was a standard of of(sic)the Government needing to do something..."

If his lips moved, then he's lying. Same for the rest of them.

Still, you might want to write to him and point out his error and get his reaction on it, Jacques. Please explain to him that 72% is a bigger number than 28% in the most patronising manner you can muster!

Pointing out to ministers that they lied may be fun, but not productive. It would make more sense to point it out to the BBC, as they may even set the record straight.
