What exactly is it you actually want to do; is it extract part of a .vob file?

Someone provided download links for a video in wmv and now they want to split the file into seperate scenes. The file is probably in the region of 650-700 MB.

So you need to split the file into split-RAR files. On the Mac I use SimplyRAR to split large files. It's free, and on the Mac you can either use it again or Stuffit Expander to extract the file from the RARs. On Windows you should be able to use WinRAR to extract the file.

Nope thats compression, , the scenes are to be split and then play individually. So, one massive file with six scenes to be split into six seperate playable scenes on windows media.

Ah! Now I see what you're trying to do. Doing anything with a wmv file on a Mac is tricky. I didn't know that it could do it, but as a test, I've just chopped out part of a wmv movie and saved it using MPEG Streamclip. Give it a try ? for working with wmv files (again, I didn't know that it could, although I have got Flip4Mac and I don't know if this makes a differnce) I don't think you need the QuickTimeMPEG2.component ? as far as I know you just need that for working with .vob files.

If Streamclip doesn't work, the only other solution I can think of which may do it is to buy Flip4Mac Pro.
