He will last the day. I give him a week, 2 at the outside. What it needs now is a cabinet minister, not a junior minister, to step down. Probbably someone who has been demoted, like Jack Straw. If he went, that's it, endgame.

Problem is, it takes a brave man to do that as the one that causes the collapse is never going to get the top job. Look at Heseltine. The assassin never gets the job. So, someone has got to be willing to swallow their ambition, accept they are never going to be PM (which Jack, if you're honest, was never going to happen!) and get it over with.

I'm pretty sure that news has been on the BBC news here in the states as well. The news here is that Pres. Bush is saying the economy and jobs are strong but the reality is Joe and Jane Citizen aren't buying his lies no more. Not with jobs going overseas and to Mexico and what not!
