Jesus, can you imagine a brit producer getting hit with a fine like that! pretty impresive really that the yanks are making the buks to be able to support heavy fines.

So whats the story if its a UK or European company (online) do we still have to comply with 2257? obviously we get signitures and proof of age from all performers but do we have to display the 2257 mark on our site?
what about if we arent based in the US but our site is hosted from there?

Bearing in mind that Girls Gone Wild is shot 'live' in the street, outside or inside bars, there's always the likelihood of girls not having the correct ID's or false ones, hence leaving them open to this action.

You should keep 2257 records wherever you are based/hosted...it's highly unlikely the FBI will pay you a visit, but there is the (admittedly slim) possibility that you might get your collar felt next time you are in the USA. Plus, no sane American distributor would touch content that doesn't have the 2257 info.

In theory, the US has no jurisdiction over non-Americans. In practise, the Empire considers itself ruler of the world, and the FBI considers itself the world police force.

Our idiot government has signed into law that the US can extradite anyone from the UK without producing any evidence against them. Remember you're now a citizen of the US empire, even if you don't remember voting for that.

Extraditing someone for breaching 2257... unlikely. But remember what happened to the two gambling company directors who decided to land there recently.
