I thought it was great!!!

Beautiful beach at the end, too. So "Heaven's Mouth" really did exist!!

Nicely written, well acted... a rare pleasure on our screens (and Maribel Verdu who played Luisa was pretty hot!!)

I meant to say, according to the Radio Times ratings it gets 3 stars, yet a pile of dried dog shit like Con Air, with Nicholas "Somebody please teach me how to act!!!" Cage gets a 4 star rating.

Absolute bollocks!!! Are they biased against films with subtitles??

Good point about Nicholas Cage. I had way to much respect for him, for way too long, based on the two good films he's been in, compared to the piles of crap representing the rest of his career.

Beautiful people, a sensual/sensuous culture and hedonistic pleasures .... would that be a big part of it ?

Cage has done some good stuff such as 'Leaving Las Vegas' and 'Wild At Heart' but agreed .. there's more mediocre and bad than good.
