As most of you know I am a dog nut. However my heart goes out to family that have been involved with the terrible tragedy this weekend.
My concern now is that all large dogs are to be seen as killers.

I can not understand having babies around large dogs. I never let anyone in my house with small children or babies. It is where my dogs live and guard so they do what comes naturally.
Also I give my dogs whole chicken carcusses?(spelling). So it is easy for a dog to mistake a baby as food.
However when my dogs are out they are as soft as anything and all the kids on my estate love them.
If it was not for one of my dogs Sonia may have been a statistic today as she was in a car park when a knife weilding cunt lept through the window and put the knife to her throat for her bag in the car. He did not see the dog in the back and Dude my sher pei lept at the guy maulling his arm so Sonia could get away. So I will never be without a dog again.
I am fed up of bad dog owners And I am afraid it is mainly those with Staffs or English Bull terriers off the lead, My dogs ahve been attacked whilst on the lead at least twenty or so times. So now my dogs can not be near other dogs without wanting to kill them before they get attacked.
This does not mean I can not walk them safely, me and sonia drive miles everyday to walk them in remote places and always keep them safe.
The final straw was three men in my local park, let their English Bull terriers off the lead and sent their dogs to attack my two on the lead. It was a terrifying experience, I thought my sher pei was going to get torn apart. There was no option but to let mine of their lead to do there best. The result was one of the most violent things I had ever seen. My two darlings fought for their lives and to protect me. And I could not believe it when my Leo tore the head off the Bull terrier. whilst Dude was hanging off the other ones back. Only then did these guys come running over.
As I left the park with not a scratch on either of my dogs. I was fuming and shaking. It was worse than getting in a fight myself.
I love my dogs more than life, and would be disrtaught if anything happened to them.
But any idiot can get these dogs which are killing machines if not controlled or loved properly, Perhaps bring back dog liscenecing and prison sentances for bad owners.
I would also add that Rotties have fantastic paternal love for babies, but only the one's they live with. I have also had rotties for years and found them the most loving loyal and big sofites of all.

Yes i agree marino with what you said. But in the world we live in now days, you see kids on street corners with Bull Terriers and a bottle of Becks. Its a status thing. If a dog is trained and looked after in the right way the chances are it will never attack. But with the youth of today what chance do we have. Sad but true,

Agree that the owners are the twats...and I'd love to empty a doggy bin over the next owner that says(after the hound has barked aggressively at my legs)..'Its OK...he wont bite'.....

His brother is the twat that smokes over me when I'm having a meal next to his table in the pub

His sister is the twat that drives along with their three year old stood up in the back seat of her car

His uncle is the wanker that empties his Macdonalds bag out the window of the car park when the bin is 10 feeet away

Its always the owners fault that dogs turn into killers. I live in Midlands and this story is everywhere on the news. Very sad situation.

Seems the dead babies' grandfather was attacked and stabbed earlier on. He survived, his partner was killed. Police said the incident is unrelated.......yeah, right!!
The pub is on the notorious Beaument Leys estate in Leicestershire. Rough as fuck, the kind of place if you drive through, you pray your car won't stall.
The last mini-series of Murphys Law on that Leicester Estate? Thats nothing compared to Beaument Leys.

I have run a rescue centre for dangerous breeds, I have shown owned bread Staffs all my life. I have had a couple of big English as well and even had a Pit at one point. I was part of a raid on a pit fight and smashed a spade over an owner. I love my dogs like Marino. No dog should be off a lead in public, it should be an offence. No dog should be left with a child un supervised it should be an offence. I have tackled an 80pound mad dog it is not a nice experiance feelinging it tear through your flesh to hit the bone, I feel so sorry for this family and I come from an estate that makes that one look like Disney world, it does not make it any more accetable.

Were you walking your dog across the Hathersage Rd in Ecclesall on Saturday September 1 at around 3 pm, wearing a black mini dress and (as I saw thanks to the breeze) red knickers?

If it was you, you are even more stunning than your photos.

I didn't read the complete story of this attack, as having children myself I felt completely sick at the though of how this young baby suffered.

I obviously missed an important part of the story, as I don't know how these dogs got to the baby.

I understand the grandparents were looking after the child, where were they during the attack!

My heart goes out to the parents, as being away they had no control over this situation, and from a parents point of view I am sure they will be completely devastated at not being able to be there for their child when it needed them.

No matter what breed, dogs need to be supervised like children. In this case neither where.

A terrible tragedy that could of been prevented I am sure.
