For a few years now I have had a Flickr account and contributed to all sorts of groups and collaborations and then along came Yahoo and purchased Flickr.

Now as I am an 'Old School' member, my TOS is that of Flickr but the process has started whereby you have to migrate to a Yahoo ID and accept their TOS.

So I have just deleted my account as I can't accept ther terms. It's this that bothers me:

9. CONTENT SUBMITTED OR MADE AVAILABLE FOR INCLUSION ON THE SERVICE

Yahoo! does not claim ownership of Content you submit or make available for inclusion on the Service. However, with respect to Content you submit or make available for inclusion on publicly accessible areas of the Service, you grant Yahoo! the following worldwide, royalty-free and non-exclusive license(s), as applicable:

Sorry, but I decide on what I use my photographs for and where NOT a third party and most definately NOT royalty-free.

Of course I'm just having a moan but what about Yahoo Groups? You upload a picture of say.... Alica Rhodes taken by Rudeboy as an example.

Rudeboy owns the copyright and you upload to a yahoo group to share with everyone. You've already broken Rudeboy's copyright and now you are granting a royalty-free license!!!!

The lesson: Always read the small print
