just watched it thought it was very good as ive never seen this version before christopher lee was rasputin and other actors in it were francis matthews and dinsdale landen.i did tape the lionel barrymore version in the 90s when it was on ch4.

A bit too long and rather sympathetic towards the Romanovs (dear Nikki still believed in divine right and that his word was law), but what a cast.

In the 70's, Christopher Lee met with one of Rasputin's legitimate daughters (he may have had dozens of offspring unofficially). She told Lee he looked like her father...he had the same expression!
Considering he was a psychopathic, mysoginystic, ego maniac...what a compliment...
