The youth in this country live in an open prison. ASBOS are served without a fair trial with informers represented by professional witnesses. If ASBOS are breached they end up in prison without having had a fair trial! Big Brother is not concerned with justice only surveillance and creating passive consumers.

Proletarian youth is alienated, there is no doubt about this, but why? I think that the answer is pretty simple. I accuse the state of creating a society where both parents are forced to go out to work just to make ends meet.

Being a mother and being with your children is the most important job that there is. Mothers these days never see their kids because they go out to work and babies are placed in nurseries and pre-school while they should be at their mother's breast. This is encouraged by a greedy government who do not like the idea of mothers staying at home and bringing up their offspring.

Why? Because they can't tax mothers! When mothers work they can tax three people or more, the mother, the husband, the teachers and child minders. The results : children who grow up unloved and without being bonded to parents whom they hardly see. No wonder that they are alienated.

Dont knock ASBOs. As the late Linda Smith once said, they are the only qualifications some kids will ever get.

I can't stand chavs/yobs/whatever else you want to call them, but a lack of love and respect is the main reason things are spiralling out of control, along with the directionless meaningless lives the majority of people lead nowadays.
A lot of my brothers' friends (in their early 20's and intelligent smart people, definitely not chavs) are pretty angry at the way things are going, they see the older generation, having milked the system of free higher education, cheaper housing and many many opportunities to improve their health, wealth & future, pulling the ladders up with them and leaving very little in the way of real opportunity, affordable housing, promising well-paid careers etc; if bright well-brought-up kids think this then what are the underclass supposed to be thinking? If the educated know not why they are bothering to strive then the ever-increasing underclass are unlikely to give a toss and will behave accordingly.
Without going OTT I look around me and I see that both 1984 and A Clockwork Orange are becoming reality. Where do we go from here? Yet more legislation? More CCTV? Do we numb them with drugs? Send them off to the Middle East to fight a war no-one understands for a country they don't believe in? I really do think things have gone to far and until we address these matters with plain speaking and common sense instead of trying to legislate, tax and monitor people into submission nothing will improve.

This government think that to solve a problem they simply have to pass a new law and it will go away!
