Scorsese better win the Oscar for this, fucking awesome movie, great soundtrack (except for the dreadful version of Comfortably Numb with Van Morrison slurring his way through it at Berlin '90 like a pissed up kareoke singer) The whole cast is superb, even Matt Damon & Leo, go see it everyone! it's Goodfellas for this decade.

I thought it was just ok.
Jack Nicholson stole the movie and it would have been even more ordinary without him.
Infernal Affairs is better.

Scorcese is my favourite director. He peaked with Goodfellas and he's been on a downward slide since.
If he gets best director Oscar for this then it's ironic considering his earlier, far superior movies have missed out.
But then the Oscars is just a crock of shit anyway. Mostly political.
Either way they've realised they should have given one to him ages ago so they'll make up for it by giving him one for Departed or some lifetime achievement award.

Not being a Rolling stones fan, I really like the song in the opening credits, I think it's called Let it bleed? it's also in Layer cake when Sienna Miller get's all sussied up, and I believe Goodfellas where there doing all the coke, anyone know what album it's on? tried to pic up the soundtrack, but only the score is available right now

The best fim ive seen this year without a doubt. And Scorcese is back on form here. Great performances from all involved.

Bet you lot didn't know that the cake featured on the album cover was baked and iced and decorated by a young and unknown Delia Smith!!

Stand out track on the album is the excellent Midnight Rambler
