Yes I agree, but he will have to get around Frank Bruni the American restaurant critic, who can make or break a gaff... or so they say..

That was my point. The guy is a bully but he is passionate about what he does. In those shows where he tries to put failing restaurants on the road to success, he only has them and their customers at heart.

And the MAIN thing, to make HIM look like the saviour of all things in catering. The Spain episode was VERY heavily edited, although their resident chef was a novice at best, I didn't like him being belittled and bullied. Oh, you can also be assured that Ramsey has taken his best team from London to launch the NY restaurant, he's not going to risk anything less.

I notice in Kitchen Nightmares that there's always a scene when GR takes his shirt off to put on his kitchen whites, holding his tummy in only slightly to show his fine physique. We get the message Gordon, you're thinner than Worral-Thompson for fuck's sake. Do you really have to do this every fucking show?

That said, Kitchen Nightmares is good telly, because some of the restaurants he deals with really are shambolic.
