If you want to do a bit of research, the actors are Sally Geeson (Sally), now 57 years old; and Robin Stewart (Mike)....NOT Askwith
As for the actor who played Mike (Robin Stewart) he went on to star in the Aussie soap Sons and Daughters, as a doctor and Sally Geeson who played Sally often attends tv related conventions.
after bless this house, Robin appeared in Un bruit qui rend fou (1995) , "Sons and Daughters" (1982) , Get Crazy (1983) , "Five Mile Creek" , Tricks of the Trade (1983) , "Punishment" (1981) , "The Timeless Land" (1980) , "Leap in the Dark" , Adventures of a Private Eye (1977) , and The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires (1974) - none of which i know

Robin Askwith went on to appear in shitty Confessions of..........

The Legend of the 7 Golden Vampires, is one of my faves, a Hammer (like production) with Golden Harvest, a kung fu Vamprie flick with nude chinese girls, and Peter Cushing the best Van Helsing.

Askwith did play mike in the movie.

surely you've got to take the film in context, it was made 34 years ago! as a comedy i think it still stands up basically as funny! it may be dated but that's life with old films, that's what happens.
still far funnier than some so called comedies of later production.
