My solution to end the civil war in Iraq where people are being slaughtered because of their religion and girls are not allowed to go to school is to admit that Tony Blair made the biggest mistake in the history of Brittania and bring Saddam back to establish law and order.

End the show trial that insults our intelligence by pretending that it is fair when two of his lawyers were assassinated and the judge is one of his old political enemies.

Bring back our soldiers who are deprived of decent equipment while the corrupt politicians milk us for every penny that they can get by awarding themselves grotesquely inflated salaries while old age pensioners die of hypothermia and our boys are defenceless going into battle in old Land Rovers!

If you want to believe in American propaganda that is up to you! Sadaam waged war on his enemies that's for sure and used unethical weapons but then so do coalition forces in Iraq with cluster bombs and depleted uranium shells. The latter has made Iraq radioactive and our troops will be dying too in the future along with the Iraquis.

The politicians only care about the political games that they are playing with the mass murder of civilians and with half a million dead and millions wounded what Sadaam did palls into insignificance!

We do know that the paragraph about nuclear weapons is absolute nonsense and it was well known by the intelligence services of the UK and America that Sadaam did not possess any weapons of mass destruction and neither did he have the intention, or ability, to manufacture any.

I don't think many people will argue that removing saddam from power was a good thing , what still gets me is the first few nights of the war when the coalition forces began there "shock and awe" campaign. Blitzing an innocent city with massive bombs , a population that had suffered for decades under saddam being punished just because they were born there.

If it was up to me George Bush and Tony Blair would face a war trial for the murder of innocent children on those first nights of the war, We could have walked into Baghdad and took saddam without much of a fight.

Sadaam was doing a difficult job keeping Iraq stable in a notoriously unstable Middle East. I reiterate children could go to a from school without parents fearing for their safety.

A dictator in a territory that had no history of democracy he kept law and order with an iron fist. Look at what he was up against with all those volatile young warriors. He was a ruler of a sovereign state. The British people did not care what was happening in Iraq, because Sadaam was no threat to us, and it was nothing to do with us.

I would love for you to learn the hard way about what it is like to keep order in Iraq so that a family man like me, for exanple, could let their children out of the front door and send them off to school. I don't want any religious police throwing acid at my daughter's legs if she wears a skirt, I don't want any Sunni militia killing my son because he is a non believer, or he is a Shia, I don't want a religious maniac blowing up he school bus, nor a bomber blowing up my woman in a market. Saddam is a brave man because even those he had to be on his guard every second of the day.

He could only trust his praetorian guard whom he knew would fight to the death. Even now Saddam's Baathist Party waits to return to power. Being a dictator isa scary job but Saddaam, warrioir that he is, felt no fear.

A strong man is needed in Iraq, a secular leader who can control the warring religious factions. Saddaam had all this worked out with his socialist Baathist Party. He should be set free and returned to power.

Saddaam had no love for the American neo cons even though they put him into power. And we all know that Iraq happens to be sitting on the second biggest oil reserve in the world. Black gold is the answer that the coalition forces are in Iraq not altruism. The military are dupes, lied to by the arms BAE salesman Tony Blair. Remember the "forty minute warning"? Or was it twenty?

If I were an officer in the armed forces then I would be very angry that my men were being slaughtered in the for economics in the name of Queen and country. I would get together with my brother officers and declare martial law in England, have the tanks rolling down Whitehall to arrest the traitors in Parliament and take them off to prison to await trial for crimes against the people.

I don't want to live in Iraq but I don''t want to live in the country of my birth either. But, if say, someone offered me something that I wanted to do in Iraq, say put on an exhibition of my artwork then I know that if I had gone in the time Saddaam was in power, I could have taken my family, children included and felt as safe as can be expected in a violent world.

Where as now when the whole country has been turned into one of the worst killing fields of the innocent in history with the majority of casualities being civilians, families, children blown to smithereens in the name of God.
Five hundred thousand people since the coalition forces went to Iraq. Only the suicidal would go to Iraq now as it is hell.

Bring back Saddam the dictator warrior with the iron fist, apologize for a heinous crime committed in our name, and in our time, while we can still make amends and help repair the damage.
