Was your "friend" the Daily Mail !adolf! ?

1/ Yes but then they don'y work from 18 - 60 as a working girl. It sounds horrible but they have a shelf-life, so why not earn enough for a pension, home etc while they can?

2/ Some are ugly and crap at their job just like many working in "the city"

3/ Some are drug addicts as are many non-working girls

4/ Some are rip off merchants and see thier clients as cash machines, just like some ordinary people. Psychopathic? Show me some stats of just how many as the implication is that there is a lot and Psycopaths are relatively rare.

5/ Some have sexually tranmitted diseases as do "normal" people

6/ Some are sex slaves coerced into the country and having to work under duress which is something that is being addressed.

Some punters are addicted.

Somebody told me but I forgot. What is a "punter"? Other than that I agree with you on all accounts. Even though I'm on the otherside of the big pond it's not shocking to see the same things happening in other places. Anyway it seems the older I get, the less I'm interested in dealing with sex for money. Find a freakbuddy and keep your money in your pocket.
