Update On prostitute Killings

The third prostitute found dead near Ipswich has been officially named - with police revealing she was asphyxiated.

The body of Anneli Alderton, 24, of Colchester, Essex, was discovered at Nacton, on Sunday.

Det Chief Supt Stewart Gull, who is heading the inquiry, said it appeared she had been strangled.

But there were no signs of asphyxiation on two other prostitutes who were found dead elsewhere in Suffolk, he continued.

Appealing to the killer, Mr Gull said: "You clearly have a significant problem, give me a call, we can deal with this. My appeal is simple, give yourself up."

Two Already Murdered.

Meanwhile, fears are growing for the safety of two missing prostitutes.

Mr Gull has said the murders might be the work of a serial killer.

Suffolk Police have mounted extra patrols in Ipswich's red light district.

There are also moves to draft in extra officers from outside Suffolk - the force only has 1,300 officers. Detectives have already been brought in from Norfolk.

Meanwhile, prostitutes in Ipswich are terrified of being attacked, with some said to be carrying rape alarms and bricks in their bags for self defence.
Gemma Adams, 25, of Ipswich, vanished in the early hours of November 15. Her naked body was found in a stream at nearby Hintlesham on December 2.

Tania Nicol, aged 19, also from Ipswich, disappeared on October 30. Her body was found naked in a pond at nearby Copdock on December 8.

Detectives said neither Miss Adams nor Miss Nicol had been sexually assaulted.

They have not revealed how the women died and are waiting for the results of post-mortems.

There is concern about Paula Clennell, 24, not seen since late on Saturday and Annette Nicholls, 29, who has not been seen since December 4.

Mr Gull said Miss Clennell had spoken to a friend on Sunday but had not been seen since or contacted police.

That's what The Scum is unimaginatively calling him.

Two more bodies found. To hell with various hopes about the killer's (killers') porn stash----just hope this sick fuck is caught before anyone else dies.

If they do catch him he'll probably be released from prison in a couple of years for being a good boy.
And then he can murder a few more people, don't you just love the British justice system.

Yeah, just like they've released Peter Sutcliffe, Rose West, Ian Brady, Dennis Nilsen, Robert Black . . . .

You are exactly right Caractacus. The idea that multiple murders are released after a couple of years is pure fiction.

With the exception of Rose West all those you have mentioned were sentenced more than 20 years ago when judges were not affraid to hand out realistic prison sentences and you didn't have the do gooders banging on about prisoners rights.
Only recently some scumbag who had been sent down for sexually assaulting a young girl was released early from prison and within 2 days had murdered a six year old girl, and they say he could be up for parole in around 7 years time.
Thats what i mean about the British justice system.

When they release Ian Huntley I'll concede you have a point. But since Satan will be ice-skating to work that day....

Up for parole is not the same as getting parole. Part of the human rights legislation is that prisoners sentenced to life should be told what is the minimum length of time they will have to serve before being considered for parole. Do you honestly believe that legislation will not also apply to those who have been banged up for decades?

Huntley will never be released, nor will Sutcliffe or those others mentioned. And neither will the Ipswich murderer when they catch him.

There was a fuss in the Scots papers a few months ago over the fact that one of our notorious killers, one Robert Mone (Google him if you remotely interested in the sort of quality bloke he is), might be released from prison soon and allowed to make a fresh start under a new name. The authorities might be going through the motions, but no parole board and no Government official or minister is likely to let that vicious sod out of jail while he still has a pulse.

I take your point about the sutcliffes of this world.
But what i am saying is if a judge sentences you to 20 years inside you serve 20 years inside, if you're sentenced to life thats it you walk in there and come out in a wooden box.
In the case i mentioned if he had served the time he was sentenced to that six year old girl would still be alive and looking forward to christmas.
