New media player help,please!!

Evening all!!

Hope this finds you all well. Erm right just downloaded new media player from thoes lovely tallented people at microsoft (cough) all fine apart from cant get any sound on DVDs. Media libray and CDs are triffic though. Any one got any ideas

All response greatly appreciated,stuck watching Sophie Dee get a pounding in silence right now. Its like living back at me Mums lol

Had something similar a while back. Ended up downloading the latest DirectX version and all was well again.
