Read the back pages of newspaper to get away fom the Ripper/prostitute stories when lo and behold Kanu of Portsmouth wants a new improved contract or he's off in January..........the reason?
Kanu quote 'Its all about money'
What a mercenry, he was rescued from West Brom when no-one else wanted him and thats the loyalty he shows?

Most teams, yours included, are made up of mercenaries. The long-lost days of your youth, and mine, when players signed for their home club, or favourite side, and stayed there for their entire careers seem like some sort of fairy tale now.
The hos and their pimps (sorry, agents) get restless after a year if they don't receive some sort of transfer-related payment. What's best for a team or a player is way down the list of priorities. As the great Bob Dylan once said, Money doesn't talk---it swears.

I have always maintained that there are too many players at The 'Bridge that are there purely for the money.........and that includes several English lads as well as foreign players.
No one gives 2 fucks about silverware anymore, and are happy to turn out for the reserves on a Tuesday night knowing they just earned upwards of ?30k.
But how many actually say 'its all about money?' like Kanu did.........not many, which is why Kanu is a whore............an honest one at least, but a money grabbing whore.
