Sorry if I am a bit late on this but I was watching Sex and Shopping on C5 last night and they said Buttman had aids.
I had no idea about that, does anyone know when he was diagnosed?

He was diagnosed a few years back. He supposedly caught the virus from a She-male in Europe whilst making one of his (or Joey Silvera's) films on this topic.

Brazil, actually. That programme on C5 was a repeat. I don't know how long it is since the Adult Channel had a gay night, for example.

Met him in January in Vegas. He was on top form and even won an AVN award. No sign of any illness, his son is fine and he's happily shacked up with wotsername, the female performer who was diagnosed HIV+ (which is entirely different from AIDS, by the way) a few years back. He's a top bloke and still commands amazing respect in the biz.

Maybe it's a visitation on him for being the father of Gonzo?

His wife is tricia devereux - a victim of a particularly stupid or a particularly evil male co-star. 4 girls were infected that way - its why the system stateside was tightened up so much.

John Stagliano contracted the disease in his private life in Brazil after the tragic death of his previous partner in a car crash. He didn't deliberately contract it but in his state of mind he ignored the risks.

The good news is that both of the couple are in good form - their health issues are under control and their child is not subject to the virus. Long may all three remain as happy as they obviously now are!

The previous partner of BMs who drove his car off a cliff and tragicly died was Krysti Lynn who starred in a lot of his films. The male actor who infected BMs current wife was I think Marc Wallace (think that was his name-long blonde hair) who had been forging his HIV certificates. He is now living as a recluse.

I think its fair to say BM has seen a lot of sadness in his life.

what a fucking cunt that guy is. couldn't he be charged with manslaughter if some one he infected died?

I`m not sure how the law stands in the States re that( I suppose it could be argued that all performers consent to the risk of infection) but I think he could certainly be sued for gross negligence. Not much point in suing him though as he has no money or assets.

BTW JON I am not sure what your point is re [the girl you named] but I should point out that having unprotected sex with an HIV carrier does not always lead to infection. In fact most of the girls he did non-condom scenes with him were unaffected. Its a risk to have unprotected sex with an HIV carrier but 9 out of 10 or more would get away without becoming infected. Anal is obviously far more risky than vaginal.
