"Arginald", I never heard any "whingeing Scousers" last night.
Only thousands upon thousands in a brilliant protest against Kelvin McKenzie and that scum of a rag "The Sun".
Yes, your Gooners deserved the win as our defence - or lack of it - certainly gifted at least two of the goals.
But don't celebrate too loudly... we may well get the better of you in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night - and that's booking a place in the semi-final.
With this FA Cup win you're only in the last 32.
And I'm certain we'll finish higher than your lot in the League and go further in the Champions League.
By the way, that's a competition the Mighty Reds have won, count 'em, FIVE TIMES!!!
I don't suppose you did any "whingeing" yourself last May when Barca got the better of you in Paris, eh?
You'll Never Walk Alone

Fair play to you .. I was expecting Liverpool to win. Looks like their 'good run' is illusory as they have some quite ordinary players and are found out against better opposition. With the exception of Gerrard I don't think they have any players that would be coveted by Chelsea, Man Utd or Arsenal. Benitez has collected a large squad but seems no nearer to knowing what his best team is. Maybe he doesn't think in that way, and maybe that's why he can't quite get to grips with the premiership.

Yes, a very good protest that even the Gooners applauded, I was miffed when the BBC tried to turn down the crowd noise and turned up Motsons voice on their master monitors for TV viewers.

There's a jinx on any team that beats Liverpool at anfield in the FA Cup they never go on and win it. And that's been that way for decades!!!!

The Scouse boys will never forget and never forgive. And that's the way it should be.
Good for the Arsenal fans for applauding.

Arsenal are overated. So they play nice football. So what. It's about getting results.
Look at Chelsea. They don't play football anywhere near as pretty as Arsenal but who's the more successful? It's about getting results and if you want style marks then take up Ski Jumping or something.

Hello Ace.
Well I am in shock not hungover.
I was a happy man yesterday.
And come on now Benny. We haven't done that bad at collecting trophies for an overrated team. My main criticism is we piss about passing a bit too much in front of goal. But overrated. Lets face it with that attitude Chelsea should be top of the league and mmm. Nope it's Man Utd.

Chelsea might finish top of the league yet. It certainly aint over but I'm not a Chelsea fan. I support the mighty Yeovil Town (don't laugh) but I do agree with you that Arsenal overpass.
My reason for the overarted quote was aimed at a previous quote of how many Liverpool players would get into Chelsea, Man U's and Arsenal's side. In my mind Liverpool and Arsenal are quite evenly matched in terms of personnel although different in style.
Go through them player for player and you'll see what I mean. Goalkeepers are similar. Liverpool have better fullbacks. Centre halves about even. Liverpool have the edge in central midfield not much in it in wide midfield players and Arsenal are definitely better upfront.
Equal sides in my book.
However I do think some of the Arsenal players aren't as good as many people think. Hleb should be called Pleb. Rosicky has one good game in 6 or 7. Clichy is nowhere near as good as Ashley Cole no matter what Arsenal fans tell you. Robin Van Persie is a good player but Arsenal fans think he is the 2nd coming of Dennis Berkamp and he isn't and never will be as good as the Dutch master.
Arsenal are a good side but nowhere near the level of Man Utd and Chelsea. The problem is alot of Arsenal fans (and I know many of them) and many in the media think they are and they aren't.
