Good return of this superior TV Drama.
Essential viewing if you ask me.

On the subject of TV Drama, I have been watching re-runs of Morse, and whilst they are getting on for being 20 years old, they still blow most things made since then, away.

Morse was made in the days when they had a thriving viewer base, and thus could pull in the money through advertising to make quality programmes, now the endless diet of reality and celebrity shows means no-one watches anymore, ad revenue is down, so they have to create income from the premium rate vote lines, which means more 'vote' shows, which means fewer viewers, which means more vote shows, which means......................

Morse is awesome. The number of top stars who have played supporting roles is amazing, Robert HHardy, Ian McDairmuid, Gielgud, Martin Jarvis, Joss Ackland, Jim Broadbent the lsit is endless..........

so very true Peter, just about every banal TV show asks morons to 'call in' whether its Big Brother, X-Factor, I'm a Celeb etc etc
I wouldn't mind, but its such shite and generally fries my brain.
Now, The Sweeney........THERE'S a programme you could set your watch for!!

I met him once, a while back, he was doing some voice over in a studio in Soho,I was working next door and when I went for a coffee he was in the rest room area, I couldnt help myself, I said 'blimey its Doyle !" a bit childish I admit, but I just couldnt help it, he looked straight at me and said, 'fuck off you ignorant little twerp' well...I asked for it I suppose.
