No names, no packdrill

I'll not mention names, but over the past week I have sent email replies to 4 requests made on here for models. With the exception of KazB who got back to me like a flash, I've heard nothing from the rest. Its possible that they are all swamped with replies I suppose, but a even a simple acknowledgement of recieving the message, details to follow, or thanks but no thanks, would suffice. As my other emails seem to be reaching their destinations these 3 cant all have got lost in the ether. If one takes the trouble to contact people who are after all asking for models to contact them, a prompt reply would be nice.

That's life unfortunately - and it's not limited to models either. I put some time aside and now I'm sitting here doing naff all becuase 'a person' who wants a website hasn't answered their phone or emails since last Thursday. Thier loss.

I was asked if I could do a simple five or six page website for someone, nothing complicated, a days work max. Everything agreed so I put some time aside from other stuff I have going on and then....nothing.

Sorry missunderstood - it depends on what you are looking for. A simple website and I can find some time, something complex or paysite orientated and I would have to decline as I have too much on.

Having looked at the link in your profile I'd say the former, so do you want me to mail you so we can discuss off board?

Why don't you use something like Message Tag so you know that those who you have sent emails to have received and opened them?

I use it on business emails and some personal emails when I want to know exactly that.

It doesn't work to well with free email accounts like Yahoo and Hotmail but if you use a domain name address or your ISP email address then it works a treat.

Basically I use the free version as it leaves an icon in the message so the recipient knows it's there and I find this often compells them to reply either through a decency to or it embarrasses them into.

Either way I don't care as I get a reply.

Thanks. As you say, it doesn't work with Hotmail, but I will bear it in mind. I the meantime, I will just have to wait and twiddle my thumbs or something.

Andy,

When it comes to models/porn actresses, please keep in mind that they spend 60% of their time away from home. (those that live outside London anyway).

When they finally do get home they're busy having hair/nails done, chasing up cheques that they haven't received or visiting family before checking their mail.

I was talking to one girl and she said that when she finally gets home from a few days in London/Prague/Budapest/wherever she'll have about 40 e-mails. 10 of them will be asking for escorting services, 10 will be plain spam, 10 will be from fans asking for autographs, 8 will be proper requests for work and 2 will be from real weirdos. Out of the 8 proper requests, 6 will be some guy who can't answer his phone and talk because he hasn't told his wife he's shooting naked girls in his spare time, which leaves the 2 serious requests. Finding these 2 out of the 40 is time consuming and damn right frustrating I guess!

It's just a fact of life that models outside London -if they're popular- are too busy. If you do get a quick reply then it's either a model who doesn't get booked much, or a hubby/boyfriend is replying on her behalf.

A tip is to just put "Work" or "Photo shoot-?250" in the subject header of an e-mail. It will stand out more from the pervy ones when the model's scanning her inbox.

You're still better off getting a contact number, or failing that, just pass on yours to models and ask them to forward to to a model you want to shoot.

Good luck.
