or in other words, they need the money.
Worth watching just to see if Diamond Dave can still do the splits at 50!!

Excellent news. Hope they come to UK. Saw DLR at Manchester in 1988, absolutely superb show, great musicians and a brilliant entertainer.
Looks like Eddie has recovered from his cancer scare.

He has recovered, but from reports I read of the last tour they did with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony he's apparently hit the bottle big time (some said he couldn't get through a song without taking a swig!). I've also heard clips of Diamond Dave singing and his voice sounds totally shot so it doesn't bode well. Genuinely hope these reports are wrong because I'm a huge fan.

I have seen VH with the classic line up at Donington 1984 and they were amazing.
I also saw DLR with Steve Vai several times in the 80's and he was also excellent, but Eddies son, Wolfie is now VH bassist and Alex VH just does NOT get on with Dave at all. Eddie is a lush these days, so I doubt they will re-create the glory years of yesteryear.........they never do

I remember hearing David being interviewed years ago and he was saying how ( at the time ) he was living alone in his big mansion in L.A. He spent a fair bit of time away and was getting burgled too often. The electronic alarms were pretty useless, so he got a couple of huge dogs and put a sign on the front gate saying " Nothing in here is worth dying for ! "

All I know of them is a brilliant video version of 'Just a Giggolo' by DLR many years ago. So over the top. Once saw an wonderfully endowed stripper use the track for a routine. Awesome.

I read an interview with DLR about 5+ years ago in Bizarre mag in which I was surprised to read that his lifestyle was like that of an intellectual.
Something like, a subscriber to 50 magazines, reads 3 books a week, practises several martial arts and different languages....the list went on as i recall. To be honest i had to keep checking the front of the interview to see if his name was a typo!
I guess you can't judge a person by the cover they convey.

Fat chance of them coming to the UK - they wree mooted for the Monsters of Rock festival but wanted too much cash. Bet the tour collapses in a big heap a few dates in...
